Saints Row 2 remains one of the most celebrated open-world action titles on the Xbox 360 due to its unrestricted sandbox gameplay and engaging humor. Utilizing cheat codes allows players to immediately spawn high-powered weaponry and unique rides, turning Stilwater into a personal playground. Knowing how to properly enter and manage these codes ensures a smooth gaming experience without risking save progress.
How to Access the In-Game Phone Menu
To enter cheats on the Xbox 360, players must open the in-game cell phone by pressing the Back button or accessing the hub menu. From there, select the Dial option and manually punch in the specific phone number assigned to each cheat effect. Once dialed, the code is permanently added to the Cheats section inside your phone for easy reactivation.
Spawning Top Weapons Instantly
Dialing weapon codes instantly drops gear into your inventory without needing to visit a Friendly Fire store. Entering numbers like #929 grants players the RPG, while #920 provides access to the powerful 12 Gauge Shotgun for close-range combat. Equipping explosive gear and heavy machinery allows players to tackle difficult gang strongholds and high-level police activity with ease.
Unlocking Vehicles and Special Rides
Vehicle cheats allow players to instantly spawn rides directly in front of their character anywhere on the map. Entering #1056 spawns the fast and nimble Compensator truck, while dialing numbers like #1071 grants immediate access to military-grade transportation like the Attractor. Utilizing these spawn codes eliminates long travel times across Stilwater and allows for rapid escape during intense firefights.
Managing Achievements and Save Files
Activating any cheat code in Saints Row 2 automatically disables Xbox 360 achievements and autosave functionality for that active play session. It is always best practice to create a separate manual save before testing out cheat combinations so your main story progression remains intact. This simple step guarantees you can experiment with unrestricted cheats while preserving your earned achievement progress.
