Following the intense encounters in earlier chapters, this quest asks explorers to track down two missing artifacts hidden across distant planetary systems. Completing these objectives requires navigating hostile environments, overcoming dangerous foes, and returning safely to Constellation's headquarters.
Starting the Mission with Vladimir
To begin the quest, travel to The Lodge or The Eye to speak directly with Vladimir. He informs you that new anomaly signatures have been detected, assigning two planet destinations that vary per playthrough. Prepare your ship with enough jump range and stock up on essential medical supplies before setting course.
Check your star map and set a direct route to the first target system provided by Vladimir. These landing zones usually feature abandoned research facilities, overgrown caverns, or industrial mines guarded by hostile forces.
Locating the First Planetary Artifact
Once you touch down on the designated planet, deploy your surface scanner to pinpoint the primary objective marker. Secure the surrounding area by taking out local mercenaries or aggressive alien fauna roaming near the entrance.
Infiltrate the deep subterranean tunnels or abandoned structures until you locate the glowing mineral cluster. Use your Mining Cutter to free the artifact from the surrounding Caelumite deposits and claim it. Be prepared for an immediate ambush by a mysterious Starborn guardian after harvesting the item.
Securing the Second Celestial Artifact
Board your vessel and chart a path to the second system indicated in your mission log. Like the previous location, this site requires careful navigation through dangerous structures or hazardous cave networks.
Traverse the location until you discover the second buried artifact embedded in rock formations. Extraction follows the same procedure, requiring your Cutter to carve out the valuable object. Eliminate any remaining threats before making your way back to your starship.
Returning to The Lodge and Rewards
With both artifact fragments secured in your inventory, fast travel back to Alpha Centauri. Head into The Lodge and place the newly discovered artifacts onto the central display table alongside the rest of the collection.
Speak with Vladimir and Matteo to finalize the mission dialogue and receive your rewards. Successfully completing this objective earns valuable experience points, credits, and unlocks the next pivotal main quest.
