Joint pain is a common symptom, and many people tend to think that it is just pain that occurs with age or injury from overuse, and neglect the pain that occurs.  As time passes, joint pain can become chronic pain that is more severe and may be a leading symptom of some joint diseases.

Joint pain is a common symptom that affects both sexes. Common symptoms of joint pain include:

  • Knee
  • neck
  • hip
  • elbow
  • Shoulders and shoulder blades
  • Wrist and fingers
  • Ankles and toes

Joint pain may occur in more than one area, or in several joints at the same time, such as pain in the wrist and fingers at the same time. 

Causes of joint pain include:

Pain is a type of pain that has different characteristics and areas of pain. The common causes of joint pain are as follows:

  • Exercise-induced joint pain is caused by strenuous exercise or injury from exercise, such as knee pain from frequent walking or ankle pain from frequent jumping. 
  • Joint pain from a cold: When some patients are sick, they may experience joint pain and muscle aches. However, joint pain that occurs with a cold is usually just a normal aches and pains without inflammation of the joints.
  • Joint pain from aging or increasing age ยูฟ่าเบท is due to the deterioration of the body over time. As we age, our organs, including bones, muscles, tendons, and joints, also deteriorate.
  • Pain from overuse of joints, such as wearing high heels for a long time causing ankle pain, lifting heavy objects causing shoulder pain. Overuse of joints can easily cause joint pain and also cause deterioration of various components within the joints.
  • Joint pain from certain diseases is caused by inflammation in the bones and joints. 

What diseases are at risk for joint pain?

  1. Gout is caused by genetics and excessive intake of purine proteins, which accumulate as sediment in the joints over time, causing the surrounding tissue to become acutely inflamed.
  • Symptoms include sudden inflammation, pain, swelling, redness, and a feeling of heat in the joint.
  1. Rheumatoid Arthritis is a disease caused by inflammation in various parts of the body , not just joint pain. It is caused by the body’s immune system malfunctioning and destroying organs in the body. Some patients with severe symptoms may even become disabled.
  • Symptoms Most often, there is joint pain after waking up in the morning or after not working on the joint for a long time. The symptoms last for about 1-2 hours or even all day. The most common location of the pain is the wrist and fingers.
